What is Stabilized Sand?

Stabilized sand consists of a mixture of sand and cement. The cement is added to give the sand extra stability and hydraulic properties. Commonly specified by engineers, it can be found in underground utilities, building pads, roadway construction and interlocking block retaining wall systems.

Sprint Stabilized Materials provides the highest quality cement-stabilized sand products for all of our customers’ commercial and residential needs. In order to obtain an optimal mix, Sprint prepares the requested sand-to-cement ratio in a Pug Mill system. All customers are provided with technical information about the mix, such as sieve analysis, material safety data sheets (MSDS) and submittal packages provided upon request. And our professional and knowledgeable sales team is always on hand to answer any other questions.
