Environmental Efforts
Operating in an environmentally friendly manner is not only good for the environment, it's good for business. Building owners and the construction industry are increasingly sensitive to the impact that their projects have on the environment. From utilizing recycled and "green" materials to energy efficient building designs, the industry is demanding environmentally sensitive solutions. The Sprint Companies are leaders in this area with LEED Certified solutions to waste disposal needs. These efforts involve working with the waste generator to ensure that material that can be reused or recycled is segregated at the site, as well as the development of a state-of-the-art recycling center that will operate in conjunction with the company's Type IV Construction Debris Landfill in Richmond, Texas.
Sprint expects this facility to be fully operational in 2009, but in the meantime is taking steps to support these efforts in other ways.
